Foundation Style Dog Training

Professional Dog Trainer, Kenny Wallace, founder of Modular K9 Solutions, is a U.S. Army Veteran and Law Enforcement Officer with a profound appreciation for the critical role dogs play in our lives. That appreciation comes from firsthand experience in law enforcement and the deep, personal bond he shared with his German Shepherds, Axle and Katiana.

The unexpected loss of Katiana and then Axle, and their behavioral challenges—Katiana’s dominance aggression and Axle’s fear and territorial aggression—left a lasting impact on Kenny. These experiences inspired a commitment: No dog under his care would ever be out of control or mistreated due to a lack of leadership, training, or understanding.

Kenny began studying under professional dog behaviorist and trainer Mike D’Abruzzo of K9-1 Specialized Dog Training. Mike’s Foundation Style Dog Training approach of Applied Behavioral Analsys and adhering to LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) and many other prerequisites to under standing dog behavior and not just "making the dog do it", became the framework for the humane, structured, and effective methods now used at Phalanx K9 Modular Dog Training.

Fueled by his experiences and a desire to raise the ethical bar in the industry, Kenny made a pivotal decision:
He left full-time law enforcement, stepped into a part-time role as a Law Enforcement Officer and Humane Law Investigator for the Town of Dover Plains NY. This change allowed him to dedicate himself fully to his passion—starting off as a personal dog trainer with in home dog training . Training both dogs and people. Helping to mend bonds with mans best friend and helping those facing behavioral challenges.
